Article 1 — What this policy covers
1.1 This Cookie Policy explains how Skin-Vibe uses cookies and similar technologies, and it works alongside the Privacy Policy. Cookies are small files saved by the browser when the Platform is visited; we also use local storage and pixels that work in a similar way, and we refer to all of them as cookies unless the difference matters.
Article 2 — Categories and why we use them
2.1 We use only three categories of cookies or equivalent technologies: Strictly Necessary, Preferences and Analytics. Strictly Necessary technologies support the Steam session, security, shopping cart, checkout, trade flow and recording of cookie choices. Preferences technologies remember optional display settings, and Analytics technologies measure use of the Platform so that we can improve it. Preferences and Analytics are optional and are not enabled before the Member chooses them. We do not use these categories for unrelated advertising.
2.2 Strictly Necessary inventory: Session identifier (purpose: maintain the browser session; provider: DIGITAL NOXEN LIMITED and its hosting provider; duration: session); Steam authentication or sign-in state (purpose: keep the Steam-authenticated session active; provider: DIGITAL NOXEN LIMITED, with Steam handling its own authentication on its domain; duration: session); CSRF/security token (purpose: protect forms and transactions; provider: DIGITAL NOXEN LIMITED or its security provider; duration: session); Cart or transaction state (purpose: retain an active checkout or trade flow; provider: DIGITAL NOXEN LIMITED; duration: session); Cookie-consent record (purpose: remember the Member's selection; provider: DIGITAL NOXEN LIMITED; duration: up to twelve months). Technical cookie names may differ between Platform releases.
2.3 Preferences inventory: Display-preference identifier (purpose: remember any optional language, interface or view preference that the Member selects; provider: DIGITAL NOXEN LIMITED or its hosting provider; duration: up to twelve months). This category is optional and is not required to complete transactions.
2.4 Analytics inventory: Website analytics identifier or measurement storage (purpose: count visits and understand page usage and performance so we can improve the Platform; provider: the analytics service engaged by DIGITAL NOXEN LIMITED, identified in the live Cookie Settings panel; duration: no longer than twelve months). Analytics are enabled only with the Member's choice, and we do not use them to profile Members for advertising. The actual technical identifier and provider are disclosed in the live cookie inventory and may change if the service configuration changes.
Article 3 — Consent, other companies and your choice
3.1 Strictly Necessary cookies are used only where needed to provide a service requested by the Member or for essential security and do not require cookie consent under the applicable Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). Preferences and Analytics technologies are disabled unless and until the Member enables them through the consent banner or the Cookie Settings panel. Choosing to browse the site or sign in via Steam does not constitute consent. A payment or Steam provider may use its own strictly necessary technologies when the Member chooses its services, governed by that provider's notices.
3.2 On the first visit, the cookie banner offers three choices: "Accept All", "Decline Optional" and "Manage Cookies". "Manage Cookies" opens a settings panel in which the Member can enable or disable Preferences and Analytics separately, while Strictly Necessary remains active. The Member may save the selection and use the "Cookie Settings" link in the Platform footer at any time to change or withdraw optional consent as easily as it was given. We stop setting the corresponding optional technologies and, where technically possible, delete those previously stored when consent is withdrawn. Declining optional cookies does not prevent normal access to the Platform. Blocking Strictly Necessary technologies in browser settings may affect sign-in or checkout.
Article 4 — Duration and changes
4.1 Session and authentication technologies are retained for the browser session, or for the shortest technical period required to maintain a secure authenticated session. Security tokens and cart/session state normally expire with the session. The cookie-consent record and optional preference settings may be retained for up to twelve months, or until replaced or deleted. Optional analytics identifiers, if enabled, are configured for no longer than twelve months. Third-party Steam and payment services may apply separate retention periods to their own technologies; consult their notices.
4.2 We may update this policy if the Platform or its cookies change. Questions can be sent to [email protected]. For how we handle personal information, see our Privacy Policy on the Platform.
